Chanel Inspired Tablescape
Beth Beattie, Beth Beattie Branding, PR and Events, and I created a Runway to Table designed tablescape for the Junior League event "Tea though the Ages." The inspiration for our table was the Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 collection, a magical underwater world with iridescent, mother of pearl and shimmer.
Table Elements
Table linen: Clear confetti paillettes, Nuage Design (inspired by fabrics used throughout the Chanel collection)
Floral pom poms: BHLDN (in b&w, pink, gray and ivory, tied to back of each guests chair, reflective of floral prints and appliqués in collection)
Faux pearl bracelets used as napkin rings: Sequin NY (faux pearls were strung around model's waists as belts in collection)
Wedgewood teacups (my mother's wedding pattern) + sea foam green linen napkins (my grandmother's): vintage family heirlooms (sea foam green used throughout the collation and style of mixing traditional and modern elements)
Graphic line print serving tray for sugar and cream service: T is for Table (signature Chanel graphic b&w used in collection)
Centerpiece, sliver branches with strung faux pearls and gardenias, *camellia flowers were out of season: FlowerMart (silver accessories used in collection and camellia, the signature flower of Chanel)
Silver framed Chanel runway looks used as guest place cards
Chanel Beauty gift bags: donated by Saks Fifth Avenue, Palm Beach Gardens
Chanel perfume bottles: personal items
Mercury glass votives, glass candy dishes and gold and silver small dishes for lemons were scattered throughout the tablescape.
