Styled Looks

Look Of The Week
Being able to translate a look from day to night has been a trend-on topic as of late here at House of Lavande. The tassel is a perfect example of how you can update any ensemble from a has-been to up-to-date chic. Whether you opt for a tassel by necklace, earrings or the latest must-have handbag, opt for metallic shades which will easily help you swing from day to night all while looking classically stylish.

Look Of The Week
The speckled print is a great choice if you love a dash of color and pattern, yet prefer it in settle but impactful ways. Select pieces that are simple in silhouette or separates that work well with your everyday basics. A chic pair of speckled add-ons are great for a complete head-to-toe patterned look (very right-now), or can be used to add that dash of pop to any look that needs a bit of refreshing.

New Year - New You
As we’re only a few days into the new year, there’s nothing better than to start thinking about a new you. Whether you’ve set the upcoming year’s resolutions, or have already broken them, whatever is decided upon must be done in style. Here are a few must-know trends for the upcoming spring season to help keep you en vogue, fashion forward and well, just simply chic.

Tropic Thunder
As the temp takes a dip, well… not so much here in Palm Beach, but regardless we can’t help ourselves from daydreaming about the far off and exotic. So it’s a good thing that designers too were feeling this tropical love as showcased throughout the resort collections. Clearly inspired by glamorous destinations such as Tahiti, Rio and Hawaii, designers saturated their collections full of cool hues, luscious prints and patterns packed with punch. And what could be a better inspiration for us here at HOL. So whether you’re tossing your coat aside to travel far far away, or just planning on staying local, here are some of our tropical trend-on statement pieces perfect for any exotica inspired look.

We love the bold hues featured throughout the entire collection at Lanvin. Mixed with the sexy beat of Rio and you’ve got yourself a winning combination. We think that nothing works better for this monotone look then a chic coral necklace accented with a punch of lime green.
Coppola e Toppo necklace made of five strands of coral beads with an ornate green and coral beaded clasp. – $2,200.00 {shop this necklace}

The perfect cocktail number for any island getaway (poolside being a suitable backup.) This dress says it all with bright burst of color and print, and these earrings are the perfect add-on. Much is already going on so keep your accessories simple. Here its best to choose one fabulous piece instead of multiples. And the fact that we’re talking Chanel, not too shabby indeed.
Chanel signed earrings with a green glass pear shaped center stone set in an ornate gold toned setting with tiny diamante and pink cabochon accents and a blue glass drop. – $948.00 {shop these earrings}

Prada is always a trend maker and we couldn’t help but to fall for her mixed Tahitian inspired prints. Scattered amongst the collection through rtw, bags and shoes, mixed and matched to perfection, how could you possibly say no to this destination inspired look. We’re loving the yellow and green color combo and these earrings have just the right amount of tropical flair to help take your look from day to night.
1950’s K.J.L signed dangle earrings with yellow navettes and small green rhinestones – $648.00 {shop these earrings}

Red Carpet Redux
Us girls at HOL love a red carpet look. The glamour, the fashion, the jewelry, what's not to love? This year at the Golden Globes everything from shades of purple and blushes, one-shoulder gowns, and even ponytails ruled the show. However we feel like many of our finest red carpet stunners could have amped it up a bit and had more fun with fabulous statement jewels! So we've taken a few of our fave looks and selected a few of our finest adornments to show you how to master a red carpet look all your own.
 Maggie Gyllenhaal in RM by Roland Mouret One of the biggest trends on the red carpet was the new trend-on shades of blush. To keep this new nude shade modern, pair up pretty pinks with bold gold. With the simplicity of this gown we love a knock-out statement earring accented with a gold, pearl and rhinestone cocktail ring.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Vionnet An asymmetrical cocktail frock in a bold blue is always a fresh and young choice. A classy pairing of crystal drop chandelier earrings and a chunky cuff keeps the look updated and elegant.

 Chloe Sevigny in Valentino Purple reigned supreme and this Valentino gown in the palest shade of violet with all its ruffles asks for nothing more then a beautiful jeweled cluster earring and a bright toned ring. When you have a dress that speaks all its own, opt for simple yet chic add-ons that add a small dose of glitz and glam. Cluster earrings are making a major fashion comeback, and try a bold cocktail ring on your second finger for an added slash of surprise.

Zoe Saldana in Louis Vuitton We think that it would be much fun to add a hint of cool color to this updated take on a romantic Edwardian look, that also happens to be one of our favorite best dressed of the night. Don't be affraid to add an additional choice of color to an already stunning monotone gown. Here we opted for a pale take on turquoise and showcased it boldly yet sophisticated through stacked bracelets. When playing up the wrists keep the earring simple and chic.
